What is Celebrate Recovery?
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program based on the Beatitudes. It is currently being used in over 3500 churches nationwide and internationally. It was founded by Pastors Rick Warren and John Baker of Saddleback Church. The purposes of Celebrate Recover are to fellowship and celebrate God's healing power in our lives through the 12 Steps and 8 Recovery Principles. This experience allows us to "be changed". We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths and hopes with one another, which helps us become willing to accept God's grace in solving our life problems.
Where Are The Meetings? The Celebrate Recovery group of Tahlequah is comprised of those from several churches in our community, including Hillside Church. You are invited to join our new group at FBC of Tahlequah every Friday, starting in September 2017! The address is: 201 Commercial Road Tahlequah, Ok74464
Dinner is served at 6:15 pm (at a cost of $5 or free of charge if you can't afford it), followed by a large-group worship service at 7:00 pm and an open share group at 8:00 pm. "Step Studies" (Celebrate Recovery's 12 Step class) are held at various times and days of the week. For more information, contact: email@example.com
Who Is Welcome at Our CR Meetings? You may be thinking that recovery is just for those with alcohol or drug problems. Only about one-third of the people attending Celebrate Recovery are dealing with chemical dependencies. We know from the scriptures that all have all sinned and have fallen short of God's standard (Roman's 3:23).
Most of us struggle with something that interrupts our relationship with God and others. All of life's hurts, habits and hang-ups are addressed through this one curriculum. If you have anything that hinders your walk with God, come to Celebrate Recovery to find the support and help needed to put yourself into a Biblical-based recovery process.
Does Celebrate Recovery help me to be successful? By working and applying these Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others.
