What is Celebrate Recovery?

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program based on the Beatitudes.  It is currently being used in over 3500 churches nationwide and internationally.  It was founded by Pastors Rick Warren and John Baker of Saddleback Church.  The purposes of Celebrate Recover are to fellowship and celebrate God's healing power in our lives through the 12 Steps and 8 Recovery Principles.  This experience allows us to "be changed".  We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths and hopes with one another, which helps us become willing to accept God's grace in solving our life problems.

MEETINGS

Celebrate Recovery of Tahlequah meets every TUESDAY EVENING at 7pm at the Abundant Life Church 1330 N Cedar Ave, Tahlequah, OK 74464. Though the open group meeting starts at 7pm, you are welcome to join us for a meal at 6:30pm.  Following the meeting, men & women divide up into small share groups.  Coffee and a light refreshment along with a casual time of fellowship are provided immediately following to meeting. EVALUATE

Who Is Welcome at Our CR Meetings?

You may be thinking that recovery is just for those with alcohol or drug problems.  Only about one-third of the people attending Celebrate Recovery are dealing with chemical dependencies.  We know from the scriptures that all have all sinned and have fallen short of God's standard (Roman's 3:23).

Most of us struggle with something that interrupts our relationship with God and others.  All of life's hurts, habits and hang-ups are addressed through this one curriculum. If you have anything that hinders your walk with God, come to Celebrate Recovery to find the support and help needed to put yourself into a Biblical-based recovery process.

GROW

Does Celebrate Recovery help me to be successful?

By working and applying these Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually.  We become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors.  This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others.
